So one of my sim conference mates in knight D2 I just noticed, has two ranked players, one was the 172nd C and the other was 182nd C. They are both recruited by sims and this team hasn't had a human in 8 seasons. The two guys are

Smith

Smith is pretty good, he has all 90's in Reb, SB, and LP, and a 50 DE to go along with 47 Ath, 48 SPD, and 46 P, all of those are pretty good for a center and I would take him over a couple of my guys.

Mattern isn't that great, he has a 3 WE so he didn't develop, but his big man areas are not that bad.

So how did this D2 sim get two ranked D1 prospects in the same class? Especially Smith because he is a pretty darn good player.

Most likely they dropped down and no one had made a recruiting effort on them so they signed with a sim at the end or they appeared on the sim D2 list and were targeted before recruiting started and no human felt they were worth beating a sim for.

Aren't they supposed to go juco if they don't get signed? I would have fought for Smith had I seen him, he'd better than the guy I got that class, Zbinden, only thing is the recruit is from California, but Zbinden was a international so it would have been same thing.

Not if they have been recruiting by a sim or then targeted by sim's again when they make their 2nd effort the last day of recruiting picking up some recruits that are left. Then anyone after that I believe goes juco.

I *think* the only kids that go juco are ineligibles that don't report and freshman that had effort thrown their way but never signed with a team. There are hundreds of unsigned kids each season but you don't see hundreds of jucos the following recruiting period.

I believe this to be correct. any time I even do a 10$ coach call or any other effort and a player doesn't sign he is always on my watch list the next year as a juco. But players I put on my watch list and there is no effort or signing the kid is kidnaped by aliens because there is no sign of them the next year.

Well dont mention this to Seble or it will be 6 months the system will delay re-starting for a fix to it.

I just had a funny idea, what if some coaches with some extra money just went and spent a phone call on a bunch of kids so that way they would become juco's. The outcome might be funny to see.
