it was a road game, and he shot 44.8% and 31.6%, its not like your defense was garbage. your offense was pretty poor, you gave up 17 tos and were 48/33 yourself. and no, they didn't nerf man to man :) its important when losing to try to identify what you are losing at. hows your offense doing? defense? rebounding? are you tiring? foul trouble getting you? it can be a lot of things. try to avoid generalizing, man and defense are a big part of your game, but still, a minority part. if a team isn't performing, people like to blame what they feel is their main thrust of strength - when in reality, that may be the only bright spot for the team. so, try to do some more analysis into where you are falling down before assigning blame.
your defensive numbers on the year are a tad low for that sos, but then again, you aren't running a 90/90 ath/def team, either. you most likely aren't losing because you are holding guys to 43.5/32.7, thats a solid showing. an elite man team would want to be like 1-2% lower than that, against a harder schedule, but that is a relatively small factor, a 1-2% hit on defense - until you are really optimizing everything at the championship level. then its a big factor :) but that is because the amount of areas you have for improvement left, get so small, that 1% on defense becomes relatively meaningful. on the level you are at, 1% on offense is SO much easier to add to your team, than 1% on defense, and those two are basically of equal magnitude. as was stated, you need more offensive talent, its really your offense that is losing this for you - not your defense! your defense is fine.
