Quick question: Does the listed position affect a player? My best two inside players are both listed as C. I will obviously start one at C and one at PF. Do I need to change the position of the one? or Does it not matter either way? I assume that it is a moot point, but thought I would ask.

The listed position makes no difference in d2 or d3. The only place it might make a difference is d1, where changing the position could (in theory) make a player more or less likely to get drafted.

You can change the listed position if you want-sometime it makes it easier to keep track of who to play and where.

Another question: I was also wondering if the height of the player plays any part in the game. I have a SF who is 6'1". He has an LP of 72 and PER of 9. When I looked at what positions it allows him to switch to, PF and C were available to switch to. It is not realistic to have a 6'1" C or PF in college basketball, but if height has no relevance, it is feasible. Just wondering if anyone knew.

it effectively means nothing. It is said that it is built in to the ratings already, so that if someone happens to be 6'1 but has good reb well, if the same player were 6'6 he'd be even better...the only thing that matters about where you play someone their abilities and iq

The player awards are dependent upon positions. So if you have a SF playing PG then he won't make 1st team PG even if he's the best. So if that's important to you then you can switch.

position doesn't matter on the draft board, the only impact position can have is on all american awards, which can affect draft stock. but in general, changing a pg to a c does not change how he is evaluated for the draft board rankings.
