Many folks - including me - will want to know BEFORE we renew for a season that will be played with the new recruiting scheme.

Personally, I will for sure be dropping some teams at the transition - to see if I like the new game.

If there wont be a chance to decide whether to stay in a world once it pauses for the intro of the new game, then I'll have to cut more teams sooner.

Answer: Release depends on how the testing goes, but ballpark is probably in a month or so. That will most likely involve pausing each world after it finishes recruiting, then once all worlds are paused we would push out the changes and begin to restart worlds in such a way to keep them spaced out.

thanks, pausing after recruiting is a nice way to do it - far away from any renewal deadline

How does pausing the worlds impact retention?

i am still holding out hope that seble will find a way not to pause the worlds. that sounds like an unmitigated disaster waiting to happen.

Agreed, pausing the worlds for weeks will likely lead to a lot of players finding something else to do with their time. Not a good idea for retaining your customer base.

hopefully his month is consistent with his previous estimates - so, like 3 months. if he really releases in 1 month, i think we are screwed, there is too much yet to flesh out. but, every time he's given an estimate this entire time, i rolled my eyes and made some sarcastic comment. i'll skip the sarcastic comment this once, but i certainly would bet 1 month will end up short.

he said in the beta forums give or take 1 month somewhere within the past 3 days

I'm not in the Beta, so not protesting anything about that, but if I'm off this site for 2 months, the odds are not great that I'll be back. I sometimes forget to check for a couple of days after a week's vacation...

I'll be checking back in at atleast 5:00 everyday when they pause the world for 2 months. I play fc soccer as well as hoop dynasty. My suggestion for you is to pick up another game in wis.

Nice of you to suggest how others spend their free time. Maybe you can plan weekly lunch schedules for everyone while you're handing out all this unsolicited advice.
