Stretch 4 9 man lineup Topic

I am running a 9 man lineup this season with starters as upperclassman. I am looking for input on what I should look for in the stretch 4 offense on this game? Thanks.

FLEX offense, high speed and perimeter (primary) and bh and pass (secondary) for your 3 and 4

I want to win now though! Do I have to switch to flex or is triangle good?

don't change from triangle to flex, they aren't very different, its a total waste of time in your situation.

you can use a per scoring PF and have success, but note that the game is not sophisticated enough for him to actually stretch the defense.

It's possible to win with any offense.

U only return four players. So running triangle will get the most out of them if you're trying to steal a few wins which will still be tough (depending on the recruits u bring in).

You may want to consider slowdown to shorten possessions for each game.

I'm bringing in some high division 1 recruits. 2 juco and some low major top 100 players. I have 28,000 to spend

I think I have 2 juco power foward on the prospect list. But I don't think I have any that are a pure scoring threat from 3. To be honest all I have to do is find the right combinaton of players subbing in/out for my team and i'll think I will have a decent season only returning four players.

No shot. Keep your goals down.

I had to check what school you were at with those targets. Absolutely no chance of getting a top 100 player at D2, especially in the old recruiting system. They will outright reject you.

Not even a 99 or 97 100 player?

Nope - with a C+ D2 team, my guess would be it would be pretty lucky to get someone even in the 170-180 range. Probably more likely to get 190s players and unranked ones.

Next year though, when 3.0 releases, you can take a shot at least at them, but if they are very good, it's still doubtful that a D2 team would get them. So, you would want to have backup options that are pretty good lined up.

So i'll be spending too much of my budget? But hey, why not go all out since most teams are spending all of there budgets anyhow. Definatley not top 100.

Do you think I can grab 170-200 rank players?

Only if they are 70 miles or less from your campus.
