I'm merely saying that BEFORE you went Uptempo the Teams Combined were not scoring 30 in a Minute.
IQ played a role in the Fouls. Stupid players make Stupid Fouls, along with not being in position and such adding more fouls.
The Players on one Team were stupid the entire Game, thus a ton of Fouls for the Entire Game. The 30 in a Minute was a result of Uptempo and a freaky hot Shooting Team, along with FTs adding Points with no clock running on the other end.
While I agree that this is pretty outrageous, I can see where the Engine can take Low IQs and Below Average Defense and produce a ton of Fouls. I can also see, when your team was coming from behind, they would Foul to get the ball back (scoring increased due to this because the other Team was hitting the Free Throws). The thing that REALLY set it over the edge was your very hot shooting during that stretch. You were hitting pretty much EVERYTHING, and getting down court very quickly.
Not sure HOW you were hitting all those shots (great Scoring team, bad defense team, really high IQs to know what to do???) but basically the Sun and Moon aligned and some factors contributed to this result. We've seen some samples that come realitively close to this, but no one has ever been so on fire as your guys down the stretch to put up 30 in a Minute between two teams. Now, Imagine if the Spurs had been draining shots while McGrady was going off for 14 or whatever in 33 Seconds... THAT might have been a 30 in a Minute type of deal. USUALLY in these situations a team goes Cold, either on the Strip or from the Field... in this case NEITHER happened as both teams just wouldn't miss.
Instead of being upset about the outcome, realize this and accept it for what it is. This was a truely UNIQUE situation that played out in Dramatic Fashion. You'll never again have a team shooting THIS HOT down the Stretch to repeat this, and if you do the other team won't hit all those FTs or will be Smart Enough or Defend Better so as to force some Turnovers and everything will be different.
This was a truly amazing game, an anomoly, and that should be rejoiced (like it would be in real life). These things DO Happen, they just happened in a major Extreme this time. Isn't that what Outliers are all about?
