How is there no 2 star players in a 1000 mile radius in my search engine from Portland,OR.? This is the very first time I've seen this. This is a bunch of BS. How is a D prestige school suppose to rebuild off crap like this? Did hoops dynasty reduce the amount of recruits?

The number of players with star ratings has been dramatically reduced with the new recruits. Whereas in the past it was common to see 500+ players with at least one star now you will see fewer than 200.
In Allen the #188 overall player has 0 stars. In Rupp it's the #158 overall with no stars.

Jagged, you've been playing long enough to know that you shouldn't be fixated on how many "stars" a player has anyway.  Anyone who has been around the potential era for awhile now and has D1 experience can tell you that there are always plenty of lower rated (read: 0 and 1 star players) who, because of their potentials, will end up as better players than a lot of 3 and 4 star players.  It's all about potentials now, bro.

I know that "the rated star recruit" is just window dressing, but for teams with D prestige programs it gives a very good guideline on who you have a chance to recruit. It is very helpful. this change completely changes the statagy to rebuild a D prestige program now. You will see "A" prestige teams recuit 1 star players now. Before, A "D" prestige team can target high POT 1 star mabey 2 star players and build off that. with reduced recruits, its like we now have to recruit DIV II type players to rebuild. I'm just not use to that. luckly I have 1 open scholli this offseason to tinker around with what I can do.

you won't have to recruit div 2 type players, its not like there are less players projected for d1. it just changes the strategy in that D prestige can't recruit starred recruits anymore, most likely.

Jagged, you're just getting caught up in the stars for no reason. A player ranked (for example) as the #50 at his position might've been a 2-star before, now he's a 0 star. But that doesn't mean your team would be any more or less likely to sign him. (And arguably more likely if some other teams are getting caught up in which recruits are starred.)

Because there is a million lines of code and they can't think of everything.  Have you submitted a suggestion to them that they might want to take a look at that, or just make snarky comments in the forums instead?

this is my problem with the new recruits. This player here is in the top 300 ranked. He has DIV III / II ratings. How in the world is he in the DIV I search engine ranked int the top 300 recuits? There is no way this is a DIV I type player.  Now, this is what low prestige DIV I teams have to recruit in order to rebuild. How can you rebuild a team off of players like this?

I agree. It's a much harder climb up from the D schools in D1 than it used to be. At the same time, I feel its more realistic when the best schools can snag the best recruits. It makes the battles in d1 more interesting, and more of a challenge to find the good players in the lower levels. Now, if I only had a d1 school with a prestige....

YOu can't use the previous season recruit values as a measuring stick for these recruits to set the boundaries. . .

Thats true. It does make it more realistic. This change really makes scouting a more than ever need.  I noticed alot of Low to Medium potential in a the ATH/SPD areas for the new recruits. This favors higher prestige teams more. I think we will see more battles in DIV I than ever.
