This is one area(out of many) that should be addressed for the next release.
The Post-season Awards were just released in Crum and there were a few very questionable decisions(and I am only pointing out mistakes in DII).
Players who won in bold.
1) DII Freshman of the Year (SG Charles Tinney v. SF TONY RIDDER)
Tinney was obviously the better, for at least this season and I'm sure that if I dug deeper into the Freshman class, I could find more players who are more FOTY-worthy than Ridder.
2) DII Defensive Player of the Year (C Philip Reeder v. PG THOMAS BRITTEN)
Reeder posted 2.6 BLK to go along with his 6 Defensive RPG and .8 STL. While Britten led the country in steals, Reeder also led the country in Blocks and ranked among the top in Defensive Rebounds.
3) DII All-American PFs (PF ALVIN DAVIS v. PF Jesse Duncan)
Although this one was a bit closer than the previous choice, Duncan had the better season, especially on the boards. He also played the 4th toughest schedule in the country, while Davis played the 72nd.
4) DII All-American Cs (C Douglas French v. Cs SIDNEY ZIMINSKI, RALPH WHITE, MICHAEL ROBERTSON)
French did not even smell the Honorable Mention portion of the All-American Team despite ranking 3rd in the country in REB and posting 11.4 PPG while shooting 51%.
5) DII All-American PGs (PG THOMAS BRITTEN v. PG Ryan Patten)
Patten was one of the countries most dynamic players this season. He averaged 4.7 AST, 5.8 REB, 14.4 PPG(all rank above Britten) and 1.5 SPG(only .4 behind Britten).
