Is it just me or are Sim AI's WAY more aggressive going after good players this year?  D level schools are going after good solid guys and C level sims are going after players I would sign at a B level prestige.  Crazy.....I predict TONS of human/sim fights, which just makes the non-local recruiting of sims more frustrating.

Nothing frustrates me more than seeing a craptastic SIM on a recruit I was targeting before the first cycle begins.  Just a waste of money and the recruit.

nothing frustrates me more than to see all of these horrible recruits with LOW potential....I think it kinda takes the fun out of it somewhat.  it just seems as they try to tweak to make things more "realistic" it takes some of the imagination and fun out if it.  change just for change isnt always good.  its cool to see guys grow in lois of different categories and develop more polished players than they were as freshman.

now they are only getting more polished in a few categories.  I feel bad just typing this but I think HD has run its course and may have seen its best days behind it....man that hurt to type that.  it maybe time for 'ol chewchad to drop some teams

What I'm curious to see is whether all of these horrible recruits (and I agree some of them are REALLY bad) with high potential in multiple categories eventually come close to catching up to the studs with the low potentials in multiple categories later on in their careers.  If they do, and it's a BIG if, it would certainly flip the dynamics of recruiting onto it's head.

I've been "experimenting", so to speak, with recruiting one or even two of these horrible, but multiple high potential, players on some of my teams in the hope that they do eventually end up being "somewhat" comparable to the big boys.  I know they probably won't make it all the way there, but if they come reasonably close, wouldn't that appear to make the game even that much tougher, since alot of teams would have very similar players?  I know we'll have to wait four, or even five seasons, to see how it plays out, but this could get really interesting.  Or really ugly.

i think you're jumping to conclusions here.

Unless the engine gets fixed, fast and correctly, because we all can see that there are still issues, I'm not so sure that Chad's statement is that far off base.  Not sure how long you've been here Jet, but I can tell you from my personal experience/opinion that HD has definitely seen better days.  Much better, in fact.

Like I said earlier (in a post that unfortunately got deleted), this game used to be a lot of fun to play, but to me anyway, it's becoming increasingly frustrating and the fun is starting to disappear quickly.  I hope that the engine can be "fixed" like it's supposed to, because this game still has a lot of "potential" (pun intended) and was a blast to play when I first started, but every day/week/month that passes causes me to lose a little more hope.

I'm sure the engine has seen better days, and maybe the light at the end of the tunnel isnt just a season or two away...but i wouldnt be so quick to dismiss the new changes as "change just for change". don't all the best d1 players from the old engine all max out their cores at 99 or 100? its kinda dumb, i think more variety is an improvement. i think it'll be more rewarding to watch players grow in varying ways than what we had before. team building is going to get a lot more interesting.

the way i see it, you can probably count on one hand the number of 99 rebounders we've seen in the last decade in real life. in whatif under the old recruit generation, you can see that many on one team.

Agree with both of your posts Jet.  I think variety is definitely good, and if implemented properly, should make for a more interesting game.  I guess what's got Chad (if I can speak for him) and myself frustrated more than anything, is the way that the whole new release was/is being handled.  It just seems like it was rushed out entirely too fast instead of taking the time to test things properly, over and over and over and over again, until only the smallest little fixes were left.  As is, we had to work our way through some pretty major changes since the release and I'm not sure the end is even in sight yet.  I hope it is, because I still want to continue to play this game, but at the same time, I don't want to throw money towards a faulty product.

dcy, i think the higher potential and WE players are the way to go in the new engine over the higher core, lower WE/potential players. see my freshman on my Ouachita Baptist squad in Knight

There is a certain type of player Im curious about: the guy that is high potential in like 4 categories and low in 4 categories but has a 75 WE.  will he be done improving after 2 seasons?  because you sink all your practice minutes into the high potential areas due to the fact there is no need in the low potential areas.
hope that made sense, and Im about to find out cuz I just got one of those.
