Im currently at a B- prestige. Does winning the PI improve it my much? Or does the PI tournament not weigh so much on the team?

It probably depends on how strong a B- you are.  You may go to a B if you win the PIT. If you're a lower B-, you likely will stay the same

It has been said that final four in the PIT is like one and done in the NCAAs

For a comparison sake, in Tark D1 a C+ sim AI just won the PIT and stayed at C+. However D1 is different with baseline prestiges, so a team that has a better baseline prestige than Hampton or a team with no baseline prestige may have seen a 1/3 letter increase.

this is accurate. also, if you had a really good record, chance of a B is a lot higher; similarly if you had a lot of losses, a B- is more likely.

the PIT is harder to win than the NT, trust me I have 3 of them to 0 NT's and it takes a special breed of genius to make sure you don't make the NT but don't slip totally out of the PIT.

I won the PI in D2 in Allen last season, my prestige DROPPED from a B+ to a B.
