With the release of these new forums, we've created a Suggestions forum for each game.  The goal is to use that forum for any discussion of ways to improve the game, whether it be game engine or user interface, or anything in between.  I will be more active in that forum than the main HD forum.

What I'd like to happen is for someone to make a post if they have a suggestion or topic that's not already being discussed.   Then everyone else can chime in on whether it's a good idea or not.  The key then is that people would rate the original post up or down and then the rating would tell me how much support the idea has from the community.

As a heads up, I may be moving some discussions from the main HD forum to Suggestions, so if you lose track of something it may have moved there.  The more efficient we can be, the easier it is on all of us.

Seble, I think having a specific place for suggestions could be a good idea.

The only thing I wonder is if moving a lot of the ideas/debate/etc out of here will be harmful to the HD forum. This is a great place for information, ideas, strategy, new players learning, etc. and I just wonder if it will take away from the traffic, participation and viability of the HD forum. (Particularly considering participation is already waning.)

Sounds good, and I'm looking forward to your increased presence/feedback in that forum - even if it's just to say "not in the works right now, but duly noted." 

I feel like the combo m2m/press defense is getting absolutely torched.  Can't understand why in the past it was effective and now it's being consistently lit up by other team's despite the fact it can have great IQ's and great Defensive ratings.  The new engine has effectively killed it.

There just isn't much traffic in this Suggestions forum -- you basically have to remember and make a special point to go there. A lot of good ideas are going to get lost, and a lot of good debate that benefits all users won't be had.

I think this is an idea that looks good in theory but in practice has a lot more negatives than positives.

These suggestions and discussions were common and robust previously ... I think any benefit from having them centralized is more than negated by removing them from the main forum and severely limiting discussion and participation on them.

Thoughts?

There should be a link from my team page to go straight to the suggestions forum just like there is to go to world forums.  I would be much more likely to go if it were very easily accessible.

It'll take some adjustment, but it will make things much easier on everyone once that adjustment is made.  It will be much easier for me to find the feedback that will help improve the game and will allow for more back and forth on a consistent basis.

That's a good suggestion. I'll try to incorporate some links within the game.

But next time, put it in the suggestions forum, not here.

i really don't like this idea. this is the first i am hearing of it, so maybe its just my 5 second gut reaction, and cool reason will kick in later. but i doubt it. we already have 11 forums for HD (maybe more). look how active the other 10 are. who checks them? not very many people at all. as it stands, most people aren't willing to check 1 forum. opening the door and asking us to check just one more forum... it just doesn't make sense from that standpoint. i see what you are going for, i think a better approach would be to ask people to put SUGGESTION in the title and thumbs up or thumbs down it. but don't take the traffic away from the one strong forum HD has. and its not like its anywhere near over-trafficed, sometimes there is a lot of activity but often not that much. i can't imagine splintering the main forum in any way, for any reason, will be helpful to the situation.

Totally agreed. Exactly what I said above. I understand the intent, but this brings way more overall negative to HD than positive.

Agree with both Gillispie and Daalter. Traffic has continued to decrease to the forums and adding another step to the process is only going to decrease it more.

Flagging threads within the HD main forum as Suggestions is a superior option in my view.
