Sky's the limit? Topic

I received this message from an eval on a SG in D3:

- Has nothing inside unless he beats his defender off the dribble - sky's the limit.

This guy currently has a 1 rating in LP. What kind of improvement can I expect in LP from this guy?

Definitely high potential. Im not really knowledgeable in the subject but there are super high potentials, so maybe he will end up at like a 50 or 60.

Sky's the limit is the best - I'd say his cap is above 50.

But it'll take you a bit to get there - those 1 ratings have a lot of inertia, but I'm pretty sure they WILL roll if you push 'em enough.

That is ridiculous.  There is no way a guy should improve 50 points or more in one category in his career.

Thanks!

Sully, a 1-but-sky's-the-limit is, for me, a player that didn't play until his senior year or a HS football player a la LeBron or something like that.

So Patrick Patterson's per didn't go up around 50?

The guy had no perimeter game when he got to UK.  Now, range is one of his biggest positives.

Honestly, in limited circumstances, I don't see why a guy couldn't go up 50 in something, especially if he's starting from almost nothing but has a ton of athleticism.

an initial rating of 1 takes a long time to go up, even with a good WE and playing time. I once recruited a SF with a 1 REB and high potential. He RS the first season and started the last 2. I think by the time he graduated he ended up with about 20 REB and half of that was in the final season.

Sky's the limit is the high-high message for LP. Expected improvement is 30+
