I dont understand how there are threads like this that dont include potential. You have no idea how that guy will look as a senior.
On my N. Colorado team in Knight, I recruited a SG named Patrick Wiley specifically because he had high potential in Rebounding. I intended on using him as a SF later in his career. Through three seasons worth of practice, at 15 minutes worth devoted to Rebounding, he has gone from a 1 to an 18. My point being, when you start with ratings THAT low, whether he has high potential or not, it's gonna be difficult to improve the player enough to get his ratings to a point where he's justifiably recruitable.
I, for one, have gotten used to potential, though I still don't like it. But too many of these "new" recruits just have ratings in too many weird areas. Yes, you have to be a little more careful when recruiting now, but there are some instances where I have to wonder if a player like I'm seeing could even exist in real life.
