recruit database in Tark Topic

Are all the high school recruits in the database, or will it not be complete until after the season? It says there are only 6 combined PGs and SGs in the state of MN for DIII, and 15 combined for DII. that can't be right?

for comparison, in the Knight world, recruiting is almost finished and there are still 9 combined PG and SGs available in MN for DIII.

9-6=3   didn't realize this is a large number these days. unless you mean there are 9 w/o schollerships and there were a bunch more to start with. if so my bad about the wise *** coment.

minnesota plays hockey in the winter so bball takes a back seat and those who can't skate will play

Some players may switch divisions after the season, but the player pool should be complete except for transfers/JUCOs.

in Rupp, there is currently one PG/SG in Minnesota for DIII (I'm searching from the persepctive of a DII team). There are 30 PG/SG in DII, some of which may have dropped from D1 since recruiting started last night.

I coached DII Bemidji St. in Minnesota for 20+  seasons. I may have signed 2 from that state during my stay there.  I was over 300 miles from Minneapolis; the only state I was near was basketball-crazy North Dakota.

The Wooden recruits for next season also show one PG/SG in DIII from Minnesota.

Recruiting is almost complete in Knight and there are still 23 unsigned DIII players. Before recruiting has even started in Tark, there are only 17. How does that make sense? My entire conference is in MN in Tark, so there will be a ton of competition for local recruits. And it would probably be too expensive to pull down DII guys from farther away. Am I overreacting or am I getting kind of screwed here as a lower prestige school?

As a low prestige, many recruits that show up as dIII for other teams don't for you.
