That statement just isn't true and is complete conjecture on your part.

Why don't you just write CS and see if they'll let you take over a school at an equal prestige level?  They'd know better than anyone if it should happen and would probably let it slide if it would keep an owner around rather than letting a SIM drive it down.

Makes the most sense to me, at least.

It's too late anyhow, the world is already recruiting, and I'm not going to waste their time trying to beg, borrow, and deal/steal back into D1...they have better things to do.

From what I have seen recently you need A+ loyalty to get those low d1 jobs, the ones you would have wanted, and I know with only 2 years at SCSU you would not have had an A+ loyalty.

Do you have proof?  Give me an example...anyone, because like I said, to this point, this statement is conjecture.  I'm not just going to blindly believe that I wouldn't get a D1 job that I was "qualified" for just because I didn't have an A+ loyalty.

I'm sure that in the early seasons of Phelan and Knight, it took at least an A to get low DI - dont know about A+ .... at the time, there was an energetic race to DI....may have changed since then

Proof?  Okay:

From tark, coaches that moved to d1 this year:

gonzotx-3 years at d3 school, 4 years at d2 school-had A+ loyalty
cenkali24-spent last 10 seasons at d2 school-obviously had A+ loyalty
dawson-spent last 6 seasons at d2 school-obviously had A+ loyalty
phillesh-spent last 4 seasons at d2-must've had A+ loyalty
plankowner-spent last 4 seasons at d2-A+ loyalty
mamidu-spent last 20+ seasons at same d2 school-pretty sure he had A+ loyalty
tomcecil-spent last 8 seasons at d2 school-A+ loyalty there

Those are all the guys who moved into D- to D+ jobs this year.

Any lateral moves within the low-DI ranks? That's what colonels thinks he could have done. Those examples aren't relevant.

I would have posted any moves with a coach moving among low end d1 teams, but there were none.  I do feel those were relevant because those were the guys able to get those jobs.

But that's just the thing tkimble.  I hope you know that I have the utmost respect for you, but you made the claim that a low D1 couldn't move laterally without an A+ loyalty and you've yet to prove it.  I think/presume that I would have gotten a job that I was "qualified" for at D1 had I renewed properly, however I can't prove that either.  I guess at a base level, I feel that my theory is more/more likely to be correct because I was in fact "qualified" for the job(s) which is most important in the process.  If you're not "qualified", you're most likely not getting the job.

This argument likely has no resolution unless someone with some kind of evidence from either side comes in to make a concrete statement.  Like I said, rightly or wrongly, I'm not going to accept the veteran "because I say so" dialogue...it's not that I don't respect the vets of this game, it's just that there's no backing behind a statement like that....it's essentially hearsay.

Yea I guess so.  GL finding a world.

That's about what I figured.

I think the onus at this point is on colonels to find any examples of lateral moves comparable to the one he wanted to make.

I have always thought it takes around 4 years to build loyalty to move, but here is a profile of one of my RL friends who managed to switch schools (Coastal Carolina to Siena) after just 2 seasons and another 3 to move to Baylor. We're talking a lot of seasons ago, so loyalty could have improved quicker back then.

What he is saying is true, and has been true for a long time. Common knowledge. Stop being a baby -- only you could start a meaningless thread like this, be exposed as being disingenuous and still be complaining four pages later.
