RS with FR Start Promise Topic

How much of a WE hit am I looking at here if I sign a guy with a start promise, and ends up RSing him?

You used to be able to do this, but I believe seble made a change in one of the recent releases which makes it almost impossible.

How much WE loss depends on the player, and some RNG factor.  But I'd bet on a significant loss.

After reading the first post, I decided to not take on this guy because there is no way I can start 2 FR C/PF, even if  plan to give them very little minutes.

You could always do inform of redshirt, inform of no redshirt. This would get rid of the promise start, and give you a better shot of redshirting him. I did that to my FR guard on caldwell and he took the redshirt no problem.

wish i knew that. I went all in pulling down a player and to battle for him after another coach tried to poach. Lost the player and left myself with $180 to sign a backup, and the backup scholarship has already been offered so I can't switch now. But this is definitely useful information.
