...unless you just stop throwing money at him and let the other team(s) take over?

inform of redshirt could do the trick

Why would you want to do this?

If you're worried about him signing over someone else that you want then just make sure you revoke the scholarship offer ($0).

the more guys on your list, the more money it looks like you spent - perception is reality, so it does matter. when people ask me about d1 recruiting, i always mention that you need to get your name off of a guy as soon as you know you don't want him, if at all possible, because it has a huge impact on the chances someone will battle you for another player.

+ revoking the scholarship at the same time.

Yeah, he has tons of guys considering him, and most are considering him + another school. It just looks bad. As a div I school, I was almost willing to drop 15k on the PF because it looked like he was in so much battles and just wanted to sign him for the cheap. Somehow, he actually thinks the under 50 reb rated pf is worth it, so I decided against it.

Inform of redshirt works. You don't need to even pull the 'ship, just hope you don't have enough onto him that hes okay with the redshirt.

i'd aways pull the scholly too. it increases the chance of that second part - instead of hoping, do something about it and then hope :)

I actually do think the PF could be a solid career backup but then again I have waaaay less experience than most coaches on here.... that's why I'm asking questions such as these.  Hope that's ok?

I also never had this much money and this many schollies to fill, so I'm still trying to get a handle on this.  Sorry to cause any trouble.
