Can we get a separate subforum for all the "Dear HD, we've grown apart and things can't ever be the same" breakup letters?

I, personally, feel this game is better since the update.  I do not play in D1 and now I do not plan to, but I'm having a blast with my 3 teams in d2 and d3.

I tend to agree. I know a lot of D1 vets have some apparently legitimate gripes, and I won't try to speak to those, but I'm enjoying the lower divisions. Eventually I want to coach my D1 alma mater, a mid-major with only a few tourney appearances, but I'll do it not expecting to compete with the BCS schools - just try to keep pace with the team IRL.

it does kinda suck to just be getting to the point in my career where I can finally move up to D I right in the middle of all this...

I like this game a ton in the D2-3 levels, but D1, I do believe that until you get to a A baseline prestige job, you are just treading water.

I've enjoyed the game on both sides of the new engine release, and I still enjoy it now.  I'm waiting for a 1:30 AM game update as we speak... this game is still a helluva lot of fun for me.

I recently came back after a long absence, so changes to the engine, recruiting, etc are beyond me cause I have no recollection of how they were last I played.  Safe to say I'm having a blast, just picked up a 2nd team and am debating a 3rd.   Have to thank all the vets for the forum postings, without the recruiting and gameplanning tips I'd be lost.

I really don't know anyone who coaches a mid-major D1 team who is excited about the changes.  D2 and D3 are significantly improved, in my opinion.  Seems like the focus needs to be on baseline prestige and recruit generation.

This all does my heart good. I have been impressed with this game since I got in pre and post update. Is it perfect? Thank goodness no beacuse neither is RL. I've won games I expected to lose, lost games I expected to win, waited a couple hours for simming, but the bottom line is that as intricate as this thing must be technically, I think it's remarkable. Note: you ever notice that the griping usually comes after a loss, never a win/? I've never seen anybody compalin that they didn't commit enough fouls or they had too many rebounds. (This is not to downplay legitimate issues like HCA in DI from what I gather for example).
I'm in for the long haul unless I lose tomorrow night to furry... then it will have to be because of the new engine, lol.
