I once loved this game.... Topic

I think we all run through HD "burnout" every now and again.  In just the last two months or so, I've went from having 13 teams to cutting back to 6.  For me personally, this seems to be just about right (although I may end up dropping 1 more when my credits expire).  Some of my cutbacks were due to the aforementioned burnout, a lot of it was due to what I felt was a  rush job with all the new changes (don't think they were tested nearly enough), and some of it was due to a bit of spite (I guess that's close to the right word) from the way that I felt we were treated as customers (very shabby in my opinion).  My latest "issue" is with the Sim getting stuck seemingly every other night, but I'm hoping that problem will be identified and corrected in a fairly expedient manner.

You should add in the "real life" factor..... many of us have less time to commit and have to drop teams. For those on this site for 3-6 years we've graduated college, got married (to someone that doesn't enjoy fake friends and fake fantasy leagues is much as we do), work hour/work intense jobs, and maybe had kids since we started this game.

It's hard managing HD and these life obstacles. My advice is to cut your sleeping hours in half. You'll probably cut 10 years off your life, but isn't it worth it if to sign that stud shooting guard?

Some of us might be older than that moy.  I am waiting for my first grandkid to graduate HS this year, but, my wife does not think all that much of my fake teams either.  Some things are fairly universal ;)

I literally used to truly look forward to 1:30 am and pm everyday to check out how my teams were doing. ******* girlfriends off everytime...Every since May 15th, that anticipation has been getting less and less. They broke the game on the 15th. I know just by looking at coaches in Phelan that they have lost a ton of coaches in the last 3 months. I have been the coach at my alma mater for the last 14 seasons and this will most likely be my last. Mid majors can't compete anymore in D1. Baseline prestige was already bad enough, and now with recruiting problems, its going to be impossible to field a good team. I am a decent recruiter and the last two seasons have been my worst recruiting seasons ever. The name of the game should be BCS Dynasty, not hoops dynasty. We aren't even going to talk about the engine today...well just a little. Still way to many fouls and way to much variance between first half and second half.

i don't know how you guys kept track of all of those teams to begin with.

I tried doign 2 HD and 2 GD teams at once, and I was overwhelmed with them when combined with work and girlfriends and social life etc...

despite having a ton of fun (even though i suck at HD) i cut back to one of each, and i'm enjoying it a lot more.

i'm probably never gonna go above 3. i like really getting to know my players, even if it means not getting gameplanning/recruiting experience as fast
