In recruiting, matchups, etc?

nope, ratings are all they say matters.

This was from the May Developer chat.

Will a 7'0" C with 70 LP have an easier time scoring than a 6'4" C with a 70 LP? "With all other ratings being equal" I was told before that height didn't have an effect it was just the ratings. (utvol4life - Pro - 2:37 PM)

I think the only adjustment that could be made is to account for extreme differences in height. In general, the rating accounts for their height. So you can look at your example like this: the 7'0" player may only be a 50 LP if he were 6'6" instead.

So basically its all accounted for in the ratings.

here's a question. If I have a PG that is great in ATH, SPEED and Defense.

Since the ratings don't change when they move positions, can I put him at C to guard a great offensive center?

Will it be effective?

Not really, you can only move a player one position in either direction before their ratings are impacted.  e.g. PG can play Sg with not impact but at SF/PF/C his effectiveness is reduced.

i thought they took away the position penalty

They did.

The problem with that player will be, for example, getting absolutely dominated on the boards - including offensive rebounds off of misses.  Block rating. . . .

Not with the change in rebounding. I had a 32 rebounding PF go up against my 92 they both played around 25 mins and were in together most the game. He grabbed 6 for the game, my guy grabbed 5 and the back up against him got 3. I miss the old engine when you could out rebound by over 20+

Take a look at last nights game. Just a quick look at my depth chart, but Allen is a 87 reb and Dumond a 95 and they both should be playing most the minutes at PF. They both have over 50 ath to go along with the solid reb. They went up against a 58 ath 32 reb pf. He got 3 rebs and my 2 guys got 3 rebounds... combined. Thankfully 1 guy got 17 rebs in 17 mins to help us out rebound them

i am pretty sure rebounds are randomly assigned, once won by a team. if thats true, you have to look at team rebounding to determine if it makes sense or not.

This used to be correct, but the position penalty has been removed.
