I gave a guy a red shirt, he didn't like it so his work ethis dropped.  I usually change it and let him play, but this time i left it on and took the work ethic hit.  My question is will his work ethic ever get back to where it is once he gets to play?  

It will take time. If he started at 50we and dropped 15..when it gets back to 50 depends on his improvement scale. Have not seen many players gain more than 5 or so in we per season. Hopefully your we is still high enough to keep improving in other areas without a large decrease in potential percentage.

That was too big of a hit...  You should probably pull that redshirt.  His WE didn't start exceptionally high, and under 20 will really hamper his growth.  I RS'ed a guy this season that took a hit from 69 to 62 and I lived with it, but yours is a lot worse.

Pull the RS and re-apply it. Unless you promised PT or start, it generally works. 

Pulling and resubmiting redshirt has not worked for me in the latest game engine, just makes we drop further. Interested to know if it has worked like it used to for anyone else.

i withdrew the redshirt and reapplied it.  he still dropped 20 plus.  email said something like "dude make up your mind"  has anyone tried to give a redshirt tag a third time?

I've been successful on the 3rd attempt, but not more than that.

I did keep a reshirt on an unhappy player a couple of years ago. His WE dropped to 14 and stayed there his entire career

I dont find this to be true.  Its really just a game of chance.

it worked for me once in the new engine.  I think i just benched the guy in both preseason games and then he took it when i re-redshirted him.
