I agree that the matchup Gods were with Duke but, nonetheless, Kansas screwed up my bracket! Bookies don't care about RPI or seeding and they had Kansas as a 11.5 point pick. It should've been 20.
Kansas was big, fast, strong, deep, good, great, unbeatable. Kansas was loaded, top to bottom, from the Hall-of-Fame bound coach on down to the All-American point guard to the All-American center to the freshmen All-American wing to the eighth man, a kid named Tyrel Reed, who shot 47.2% on 3-pointers but couldn't get more than 15.3 minutes of playing time per game.
Before the game, when asked if any of them could start for Kansas, the No. Iowa players started laughing!
In fact, I can't remember a more overwhelming favorite to win the entire tournament.
