Don't take so many walk-ons, possibly? You have 8 frosh on your Wyoming team, and 4 of them are walk-ons, you could have signed 6, maybe you ran out of money, im not sure the whole story. Also, on one of your other teams, you have one freshman and he is a walkon too, with only one scholly to fill, couldn't you have signed a player?

Other than Wyoming, where I took a recruiting hit, I rarely take walkons.

just think about how fast you could make those 6 clicks necessary to send a recruit a phone call if you bulked up your fingers with some roids!

Looks like you had a good run at Wyoming, including that FF -- but you should've made the jump to the BCS after that.  *Extremely* hard to be "great" in DI without that extra tourney money every year.

There was no where worth moving to.

Were there no BCS openings?  I really feel like any BCS school is worth moving to.  You can't get over the hump at Wyoming, and even if it's a project, a C- BCS team has a much higher ceiling.  Others may disagree, but I think the sooner you move to one of the big 6 conferences, the sooner you can turn a losing program into a contender.

I think it's possible but just terribly difficult. Especially once you are successful enough to starting losing kids to EE.

I hope this is true for my sake as well...I just went to Alabama in Tark from a pretty good run at a low-mid major. I'm not loving all the talk from the vets about how it is harder now to rebuild a low BCS school...
