that non-conference schedule is atrocious. your not battle tested, good luck in the tourney.

I have no idea, but its been done, probably more often than you'd think...go to the stats/national champions page and it shows the records of the winners. I glanced at Rupp (144 total seasons), and there have been 14 total - D II (4), D III (10)...

ETA: 13 Tark (156 total seasons) (2 D I, 2 D II, 9 D III);   5 Knight (99 total seasons) (2 D I, 3 D III);   2 Phelan (96 total seasons) (1 D I, 1  DII)

Last season in Phelan i beat 2 undefeated teams in the NT on my way to Elite 8

There has been quite a few undefeated teams that won the NT. But idk if you will join those ranks. uglyskunk is kinda right in ur ooc schedule being super weak. When I was undefeated with drew, my rpi was also in the top 10 with a t25 sos.

that wasnt my fault as i didnt coach here before, however there are 2-3 very good teams in conf and we walked through them without so much as a worry. 18-0 on the road as well. i dont think the whole "not battle tested" debate can stick here. im not saying we are gonna go all the way, but i think we are a force and i dont think anyone wants us as there draw in the tourny

Back in season #2 or #3, I was 29-0, seeded #1, with three All-Americans. I lost to a 13-17 SIM team in the first round

just out of curiosity, how much time do you spend practicing your defense? The IQ for your team is nuts.

Is it? His seniors are A in offense and (mostly ) A+ in defense, and his juniors are a mix of A-/A. Sophs are B+/A-. That seems pretty normal for 25 mins to me. (Although this is his first season w. the team, so most of that was built up by his predecessor, so he won't know exactly.)

It's a very good team and I'm sure you'll make noise in the postseason. I think what people are getting at is that there are probably any # of teams each season that would have a pretty good shot of going undefeated vs. that type of schedule. Again, not your fault, you didn't set the sked.

i think its tough to win 18 games on the road..and sweep conf play...

but i guess il have to silent the critics with a Championship Sized Run in the tournament

im not sure why the chances of me winning the tournament rides on my nonconf schedule.. i mean a better RPI could mean a Higher seed, but i dont think it will make that much a diff in how my team plays in the tournament. - matchups will dictate where this team goes, i do think my team is good enough to do some major damage in tourny.

as for my IQs, smart players they are, and i am a defensive oriented coach, so i want a hard defense, which will lead to offense.

I was mainly referring to his m2m, not the offensive IQ. His entire team is B+ to A+. With the Conf tourney practice, all his SR could be A+ wit his So. all A-.
