Undefeated regular season Topic

Just as you're not responsible for the schedule, you're not responsible for the team that won out during it.  If I went undefeated with somebody else's team I wouldn't be making so much effort to show it off without giving a lot more credit to the guy who recruited all my impact players...

sry dahsbebater, its not as if iv not gone to a title game with my own players before, i would dudifly thank the former coach for the players, but hes no longer coaching these players, new schemes and linups i have set in, this is my team and my players now, college coaches in real life have won alot of games in year one with most of the players being from the former coach, even happened at UK, Tubby smiths first NT was mostly rick pitinos players, but that team may not have won with a diff coach, as much as i can say thanks to the forum coach for leaving a quality team to me, i also am the one making day to day decisions when it comes to gameplanning ect.

futher, i was just trying to see how many others have accomplished a feet of winning all regular season games, it was not to brag, but to see how elite the company is.

it amazes me how some of you are so sore at my success..

I honestly don't think that anyone who responded is sore over your success, sorry if it came across that way. That said, people are simply going to be honest, and going 26-0 vs. an easy sked w. someone else's players is never going to be regarded the same way as going 26-0 w. your players and a more difficult sked.

Best of luck in the postseason!

I think if nothing else this will be an interesting case study in seedings.  Only 2 top 50 RPI wins, and the 2nd was against #50 and only 6 wins vs. the top 100, but is ranked #5.  Will he be able to pull a 1 seed or will he drop to a 6 or 7, or someplace inbetween?

Also, i don't beleive anybody is sore about this as girt said (although I will be if you end up seeded higher than I am) but you can't compare coaching another coaches players to the real life equivilant.  Gameplanning and day to day stuff is much more important IRL, not to mention this is an historically good to great program that has on a fairly regular basis put up 26+ wins.  Its a good team with a great record, but I would hesitate to put them in elite company

Believe it or not, I'm on this list...bounced in the 2nd round of the NT though at Wartburg?

That's what happens when you schedule super easy.

if he wins the CT, he pulls a #1 seed.

A follow up here, UMD went undefeated won their CT RPI 27 ranked #5 and got a 4 seed.  Pretty tough match-up too.

i felt like the 4 seed was pretty fair since the ocs was week, i think i have a good shot at doing some damage from this position

I think you got a good shot at losing in the first round.

It's not that elite....I was 32-0 in DII a couple seasons back before I lost in the Elite 8....and I have very little idea what I am doing.

based just on player v player I'd agree with this, but as I look at N Mich, they run press (always an x factor lately), they don't shoot a high % (I wonder if distro needs tweaking) and in 13 seasons they've only advanced once, so I 'll give it to Mr. Undefeated, this round...

n. michigan will win. he has the more talented team. you better have one heck of a gameplan. .........he is battle tested, lol.
