The game is good, but could be MUCH better.  I think there are easily fixable distro and rebounding issues.  That would go a long way with me.

Exactly and I believe that was the point. Sebel has done a decent job not killing this game with all the updates. If somone else was running it might have been really run into the ground like has been done with GD.
I agree that Sebel should pop his head in every once in a while it makes you feel like we are worth the effort. I play FC Dynasty and even though it is a free game it is pretty dead over there. They don't have the money to fix/upgrade anything and there is very little contact from WIS. Colusion is rampent and WIS just turns there back on it saying that it is a necessary evil to keep the game running.
When WIS/Sebel does check in on this game it makes us feel "loved and cared for."

He might actually be caught up working on GD or one of the other games.  Apparently JConte was spending little or no time on GD a while back becasue he had been working on another game, so it appears they shuffle people around when they are focusing on a certain game (this doesn't seem to apply to HBD).  FC Dynasty's head guy also went from being a constant presence on the forums when the game was new to disappearing. 

i took 2-3 years off and decided to come back when the new engine came out - compared to 2 years ago, the engine runs worse IMO.  but it's not anywhere near broken...

with what i would consider a small effort (compared to how much tweaking the old engine needed and received and compared to what it  took to create this new engine), this new engine could be running very well...

IMO it's running at maybe a 5 out of 10 - but could be a 7 or 8 out of 10 with just some basic effort to tweak things

Which is why it's so frustrating that seble hasn't done anything.

At this point, I would settle for just including us in the thought process and/or decision making process.

There are SO many small tweaks that he could tackle very easily, and they would engender SO much goodwill, just for people to see, "Hey, they're working on making things better" and "Hey, they're listening to what we have to say and actually care about it".

Right now, the only conclusion that you can reasonably draw is that they don't give a crap about us or what we have to say, because that's the message that's being sent. And it would be SO easy to send exactly the opposite message -- so I can only assume that if they wanted to send a positive message, they would.

Pretty crappy.
