nope. coach_billyg, gillispie, gillispie1, and had a gillispie2 for a minute
which one of these aliases has your d3 championships?
lol, he just told u, he has D3 championships under coach_billyg in Rupp. idk why you think someone would make multiple posts about his d3 championships if they don't exist, when checking it is so simple and easy.
i didn't say they didn't exist yah knucklehead. the question is the question. he said rupp that's all.

i asked which of those usernames is the one? read before you post.
So much animosity. You linked his coach_billg account under Tark, saying you don't see his NCs. He responds under the coach_billg account saying its Rupp. And before that, dahs told you he has D3 NCs under his coach_billyg account. I think it's kinda intuitive to assume his coach_billg account under Rupp has the NCs, no?

no or i wouldn't have asked the question.

ok, so if you believe those NCs exist, why did you keep asking him where those NCs are? If I were to accuse someone of making up ****, I would at least check the worlds in his 2 main accts.

because i wanted to see the progression he took to get to a championship at d3. the way your phrasing your questions are trollish at best right now. i did check his two accounts, i obviously missed the rupp world, implying anything else is ridiculous.
1/25/2011 12:43 AM
I'm trollish? This is coming from a guy who opposes anyone w/o a D3 NC to comment about D3, and thinks that multiple D1-D2 NCs are worthless? This is coming from a guy who has said the following, and various version of the following:

""its not hard to win at d3" w. i just looked at your record hot shot and you didn't win jack at d3. do you really think your wins with north carolina mean more then my d3 championships? they don't. "

And it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks you are being overtly hostile, because earlier on, dcy said the same thing.

And I think you are the one who started the name calling with knucklehead? And if I'm such a knucklehead and as you said, you are not accusing him of those NCs not existing, why do you bother checking over his resumes extensively (obviously not extensive enough) and keep asking where those NCs are, even after it's clear from the posts by dahs and coach_billyg himself that they are in Rupp, under his coach_billyg acct?

If simple logic and being thorough when one makes accusations (which you clearly are with your posts, implying those NCs don't exist) trollish, then you have my sincere apology of me being a logical and thorough perrson.

So, back to the OP's question.

For a guard, I prefer someone who will get to 60/60 ATH/SPD or 40/80 ATH/SPD along with 70+ PE and 60+BH (more is better, a little less is alright). For my Hood team, I have looked for guards with some LP, mostly because Seble said LP matters for guards with the new engine. I'm not sure how much it matters, but Stacey Brooks is my new model for a scoring guard. 90+ PER is not necessary. I'm not sure I've seen a whole lot of difference in 3PT% between 70 and 90 PE. As others have suggested, I would also compromise the PER and BH before the ATH and SPD, but I would recommend shooting for a couple of guards with 65+ PE to keep defenses honest.

For a big, I want ATH (50+), some SPD (20+), and plenty of LP (70+).

To keep your scorers in the game, you will want their ST to get to 80+.

You can trust me, because 1 Naismith DIII NC = 4 Knight DIII NCs (kidding, only kidding. Jokes are fun).

yes you are being a troll. i "oppose anyone w/o a d3 nc to comment about d3"???? that isn't what i said. that statement alone makes your actions trollish. that comment is directed at one poster, gillespie, on the context that i only knew him as gillespie not his four other usernames. for that you are a troll. at that time i didn't know he was billyg. at that time he was a coach who had only won with cherry picking d1 teams. so in context to that i didn't think a guy who couldn't get out the first round of the nt in d3 should make comments about d3. fanning the flames makes you a troll. read before you post.

"thinks that multiple d1, d2 nc are worthless"????????? once again i never made that statement. again that makes you a troll. i'm defending d3 championships value, and i'd be happy to say and know that they are on equal footing to d1, d2 championships. he pointed out the flaws of d3 and i pointed out the flaws of d1. so once again your actions are trollish.

hostile? more like defensive. i would always defend what i say and what i mean and when someone like yourself manipulates the meaning, or infers devious motives i tend to get a bit hostile. i'm surprised because your normally okay person on here, but your actions over the last several hours are atrocious.

Let's get something straight here. Who started with the name calling first? I pointed out to you that it's clear coach_billyg is the acct with the NC, and there is simply no reason for someone to pretend to have NCs if he didn't, and this is knuckleheaded action?

Did you not make the following post: "i still don't think you should imply d3 titles are below your d1,d2 titles. even as coach billy you never got past the 2nd round of the nt in d3. its the only division you haven't had success in, seems a tad odd to knock it."

Or the following: "funniest part is that i looked deeper into gillespie's resume and see that he couldn't get out the first round of the nt at d3 and only made the 2nd round of the nt in d2. lol"

Any rationale person can see that you are implying people w/o qualification similar to yours (aka, NCs) should not even discuss this game with you.

Did you also not make this post: "many of those same coaches that you think are so terrific because they live in the d1 baseline world, which really is training wheels for coaches" ---Are you not saying that D1 NCs are easy in this post?

I have only played D3 and I have to say, D3 recruiting is extremely easy, w/o any significant battles. In fact, I have only been in 2 battles in 15 or so seasons. This is not even close to what you see in D1 if you simply look at the top ranked players and who they are considering during recruiting. Over half of the 5 star and 4 star players are in battles going into signing or close to signing. How this is training wheels is beyond me. As I said earlier, if you think you are superior to all the D2 and D1 coaches, why don't you join one of their conf and beat them outright, rather than staying in D3 and say things like "I have NCs in D3, you don't, so you are not as qualified as me to discuss how this game works as me?" How is any of this constructive?

And I love how you say "your normally okay person on here." Because where i first asked you about the value of per when I started 6 months ago, you send me a raging sitemail along the lines of "are you retarded? I said it that ath/spd is all it matters, dont look at per, I have National Championships. I know what I'm talking about." When I agree with you on this page that ath/spd matters the most, all of a sudden I'm a "normal okay person."

And then when I point out you are wrong and coach_billg has NCs under Rupp w/o any personal insults, I'm now a knucklehead? You better have your bipolar disorder checked out.

i sent you sitemail that said this or that? what a load of hogwash. you are a troll of the worse kind. listen go back to being a mediocre coach and let the big boys talk. as for now and forever you are blocked i don't have time to babysit a troll.

its one thing to debate with me, but its another to take my comments out of context or to imply a hidden meaning behind my words. i'm blunt and straightforward as can be. any coach that has asked for help from me has always gotten it. as for billyg, he is a fine coach, and a solid record, but i disagree with his opinion. you coming to his aid when no aid is needed is pathetic. go back under your bridge troll. lol

p.s. don't send me sitemails begging me for help again, its not welcome.

I simply pointed out that he has NCs in Rupp and you exploded on me. And if your intent is not to say his NCs doesn't exist, why did you go through his coaching record and making multiple posts asking him where he has those D3 NCs? You can call me a troll all you want, but to anyone who reads this thread or any of your posts, it's clear who the real troll is.

blocking is such a nice feature, its prison for trolls.

Don't worry, I won't be begging for your help because our first correspondence was from you sitemailing me, telling me to disregard the other posts in the thread I made and just focus on ath/spd.

I think your weight is pretty accurate. You essentially want a player who can get to a combined 120 in ath/spd by their JR year, and 130+ by their SR year in order to be one of the contenders in D3.

wow. you just went from having little credibility and sort of being a ***** to having 0 credibility and being an *******. i never said one bad thing about you. but you call what is objectively one of a very few accomplishment in the running for the greatest ever, only winning with cherry picked teams? you obviously don't know your head from your *******, but if they works for you, then hey, go with it.

and tianyi is a good guy. its pretty clear you are the dick in this thread, hopefully by now most coaches have stopped reading your useless dribble. have a nice day, as they say, ignorance is bliss!
