sorry dude. i was going to extend the challenge to you....  got a good DIII team @rochester there. . . and i think you'd love the conference and would be in for the "long haul"

So somebody made a new account to do it?  That seems just a tad suspicious if they didn't tell you who they really are.

alright dream1984. . . . here's your rules. . .


to win cash in season 3, 4 or 5:
  • limit of 4 players per class
  • limit of 7 upperclassmen
  • to win a free season you can "tie" for division title.  if you lose out on tiebreakers, you still win the free season as long as you have the same record as the division winner
  • to win the $60 you must win the division outright (you win by tiebreaker, you lose the bet)
  • you must have a top 100 SOS
  • must have 7 scholarship players return for the 6th season

yea, i know.  just to make sure he pays attention to OOC.  he could skip over it, as there's no financial benefit to taking the time to make an OOC schedule

I know he's not complaining but it seems kind've backwards to say the rules after he's accepted. And some of these rules are retarded. Namely the 7 upperclassmen and top 100 SOS. The SOS seems really silly, I don't understand what a weak non conference schedule has to do with conference wins.

first off, the reason i'm doing this is to make my conference stronger.  if i have to pay some money out of pocket so be it.  it means he did a killer job as a coach. 

reasons:  the SOS is nearly impossible to get.  the only way he does that is if he doesnt make his own conference schedule.  going 10-0 against 350 RPI teams hurts a conference.  i dont want my conference hurt.  his only incentive is to win during conference play, so this ensures that he will at least schedule decent teams

the rules were going to be stated.  BUT he accepted the team before.  i told people to sitemail me and i would then pick someone, THEN go over the rules.  THEN if they agreed to the rules i would tell them to sign up for the team. . .

dream didnt follow the rules.  he signed up without a dialog between us.  so if he doesnt like the rules he can bail after this season

anyway, thats it.  good luck dream.  got a feeling you might be oldave looking for redemption.  or maybe rails?  got a strange feeling you're someone i know.  maybe a former wooden great.

oh, and 7 upperclassmen. . . .  i dont want someone coming in, cutting a bunch of scholarships.  setting their team up to be beastly in the 5th season.  then fall off. 

the ultimate goal of this is to get a coach to love the conference and stick around.  there's a good amount of cash on the line. . . i just dont want that to be the sole focus.  i want the team to be well off in the long term even after the coach leaves
