Seeding is Whacked Topic

Honestly...I should have never made the NT with my Mount Olive team...73 RPI, 271 SOS, made it as a 16 seed playing a 12 RPI 1 seed...wtf?  The 5 RPI team is a 4 seed...wtf?  I made it in over a 51 RPI...wtf?

Honestly, I'd be happy to see seeding played out by RPI period.

RPI is easily maniplutated there is absolutely no way RPI should be the determning factor, in fact I'd rather RPI have less of an impact. It's so easy to schedule good sims and users who play in vacant conferences play them all on the road get a bunch of easy road wins and then get a good SOS because those teams you played in NC play won 20 games playing against 200+ SOS. In real life they don't have this problem because the big time programs make far more money by playing as many home games as possible, that's obviously not the case in HD.

Uhhh, did you see that I got in because I won a bunch of games against **** competition?  271 SOS out of 276...beat out a 51-35 I think...unreal

25-3 is hard to leave out regardless of rpi. Winning is what matters, not losing vrs good teams to get a better rpi.

You also had a win against  number two and number 16 ranked on the resume (The latter on the road) - which is probably what tipped you in as much as anything.

Aren't you the guy that used to rag on the RPI calculation anyway?  And now you want to treat it as gospel?

I'm with you, seeding is out of whack. How is this team (my team btw) a 1 seed?

8 losses and losing CT. I have no explanation for how I got the 1 seed with how low my rpi is, and how few T50 rpi teams I beat. Although I'm not going to complain and just gonna take the free 1st round win vs simai.

When? Where?

I have more faith in RPI than any convoluted system that WIS/seble can come up with.  BPI>RPI>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>WIS

Actually, HD seeding is more faithful to RPI than real-life seeding is. RPI is flawed, you can't use that as the only measure.

You won 15 games against the RPI top 100 which is actually more than every other #1 seed. Even Westminster with the #2 SOS has 14 wins against the top 100. So yea it does make sense that despite your lack of top 50 wins you still have a quality resume.

I didn't check the rpi 100 wins. I was just surprised my Tark team with #3 rpi and higher sos, only 1 loss was 2 seed, while this team with lower rpi/sos is the 1.

Even comparing to that team your Phelan team had 2 more wins against the top 100. Speaking of I think it's time you move up to D2 in Tark and takeover a team in the Mid America, we got lots and lots of money and could use another quality coach like yourself. We even have incentive packages that I can only disclose after you join :-).
