high-high potential Topic

I keep seeing references to this in threads but don't know what it means.

I am assuming high potential isn't all the same but I don't know how to differentiate.

tj, do a scouting trip and look for words in all uppercase or bordered by **.  You'll see things like HUGE, *much*, SIGNIFICANTLY, etc.  There have been a bunch of other threads on deciphering the scouting trip messages.

the only exception I can think to the above is the message for LP which is "sky's the limit".

Has nothing inside unless he beats his defender off the dribble - sky's the limit.  (that's HIGH-HIGH LP?)
- Frequently gets beaten off the dribble - with the right diet and conditioning he could be MUCH quicker than he is today. (High ATH or DEF?)
- Looks very uncomfortable facing the basket - I see such solid fundamentals that with enough practice I don't see why he can't be a *significantly* better shooter than he is today.. (this high-high PER?)

Is three HIGH-HIGH's good or about the norm?

The second one is speed, and it's low-high.  The other two you're right on.

So how much improvement should you expect to see from a hig-high compared to a low-high

low high 21-27, high-high 28+

I was high-high quite a bit in college and it never seemed to improve my ability, so I feel that this is overrated as a scouting tool.

All that means is you weren't doing it right.
