Wow, this thread is just ridiculous.  Either jbrewman is incredibly dense and an awful coach or else he is intentionally misleading new coaches, which is just awful.

How did this get so far off track???

I totally believed in Miracles when I started.. :)

Seems like you still do, because you somehow think using a worse approach to recruiting in D2 and D3 can make you into a better coach. If you didn't bother to search the forums when you started, that's your fault.

If we are going to approach this from the point of view of a completely new coach who doesn't know anything about pulldowns, why not just go with the best method to see if a recruit can be pulled down, ie. call a recruit, if you get a response with "backup" or  "fallback" then he can be pulled down, otherwise, move on. That's pretty simple instructions and saves $90 per recruit compared to your approach. Those 90 dollars add up considering most coaches have at least 10 potential targets, with some coaches (myself, for example) have 30-50 targets.

You were trying, but it turns out that your advice sucks.

1) I would want to battle jbrew for an account anytime
2) jbrew-I think I remember you as a pretty good coach.  This whole thread is surprising to me.  If you get the miracles message and don't know what it means, you can still send him another call and that way you're only spending $20 instead of $100 on a scholarship offer, right?

On the other hand, the fact that you don't spell advice "advise" makes your English skills superior to those of about 80% of the people who post on here...

let's not entertain that notion here. because he's just gonna say the next one is going to be miracles response as well, and so are the ones following, and all of a sudden, you are down $1000 giving 100 phone calls, with all of them being do you believe in miracles.

Yes I Know that NJIT lost last night, If any of you don't think I know how to recruit I beg you to look . This thread was not a Question to Jbrewman.

You should learn how to use the word advise then. Other that the word Advice.

Somehow this became a thread about my recruiting... not the Question.

Maybe that's because you told him to spend $100 for no apparent reason.
