Latest you can RS? Topic

I've never really payed attention to this and was wondering if anybody knows what's the latest point you can RS a player? Is it when you get the 2nd set of grades or the start of the CT?

You can red shirt him all the way up until the end of the season. I've redshirted a couple guys after the season was over and the tourny was still going on. I think you can do it all the way up until roll over but not 100% sure. I do know you can do it after the regular season has completely ended

I feel like this used to be the case because I do remember seeing the RS option there after the tourney was over. However I'm looking at my Fitchburgh St. team in Wooden which is currenlty about to play the CT title game and I don't have the option of RSing anybody and I have 2 seasons remaining. Maybe there was a recent change?

The RS option is only available after the season starts to players that haven't played in a game yet.

Once a player jumps on the court for even a minute, he is no longer eligible to be redshirted for that season.

It looks like everyone on your Fitchburgh St. team in Wooden has been on the court already this year.

Yea once a season starts and a player plays they can't redshirt even if he only played 1 min.

There was a change...now you can redshirt up until YOUR final game.

going to set a reluctant player 5th on depth chart to keep him out of game 1. a forum topic had mentioned that he has had great success doing it this way. He is the only one listed at his position so this may lower my odds quite a bit. Anyone else have a similiar player and had him accept the redshirt?

I am 11 games into my season and this guy still wont take a red shirt. He barely played in the exhibition and obviously hasn't play yet in the regular season. I would think he would want to RS eventually since he wouldnt hardly play anyways.

it doesn't change.  his answer is the same at the end of the season as it is at the beginning. 

it would be nice if they changed it, but it would just be abused by coaches.  you could sit a stud FR and then RS him late in the season. .
