Poor Reputation Topic

Any idea why I would have a poor reputation as a coach?  I'm relatively new but I haven't done anything shady that I know of.  I had one player complain that I wasn't meeting the guaranteed minutes but it was promptly addressed.  Is that the problem?

If you ended up giving the guaranteed minutes, starting with the date of the complaint, it shouldn't affect your reputation.

I know that recruiting violations affect your reputation. I'm not sure about GPA problems, though

Have you dropped any players in the offseason that you yourself recruited? I'm pretty sure that hurts your rep.

ok, I am in D3 so I can't give gifts and I haven't had any players declared ineligible due to GPA.  who knows...it's gotta be the recruiting fibs. oops.

I have rescinded a scholarship of a player I recruited.  That probably didn't help either.  I really don't like the evil picture that is posted on my resume folder!

Haha, I've never seen that picture before, that seems rather extreme for just one mess-up.

If you haven't been around long and recinded a scholly of a player you recruited thats what happend. Don't worry as long as you don't do anything else for a season or 2 it will be fine and it really doesn't effect anything. I did the same thing after coaching a couple seasons and I noticed no effect on recruiting or anything else.

Ive never seen any effects by a poor reputation.  I have cut guys, used boosters and broke promises

I don't know exactly what he is doing in the picture but any combination of electricity and that evil look can't be good.  I was concerned that it would affect recruiting.

I applied to a D2 school (just to see what they would say) and they cited my "questionable ethics" as the reason why I would not get the position as I remember it.  I'll be a good coach from now on....honest
