I think the lack of passing on your team has something to do with it.

Passing has a bit to do with it but I think it's mostly just due to a very small sample size, get him more shots. He should be taking at least 12 shots a game he's barely taking 7.

This was my thinking. Even if he were to shoot 50%, with the number of shots he's getting he's only gonna get about 8 or 9 ppg.

Small sample size, and while he is a great SF he is a pretty average SG. He lacks some speed, and while his cores are good they are not great. He'd be better off at his true pos IMO.

edit: I'm an idiot

he's a role player, don't let his overall skew you. he's a good second or third option and would be a v good sf. at sg, he's just being used poorly.

Couldn't disagree more. You don't need 90 per or 90lp to be an excellent scorer. His ath/sp combo is elite for D2 whether it's SG or SF and his 64/78/75 LP/Per/BH combo is great. I don't see how you can look at this guy and see anything other than a stud. He's also far and away the best option at SG for this team.

Idk about the sample size because he was mediocre his JR year as well. Ofc, if he grew 100 pts last season, then I stand corrected.

Why is shooting 44.4% as a SG considered poor?

Kemba Walker of UCONN, arguably the best SG in the NCAA, shot 43,2% last season.

Brandon Knight at UK (ok, he is a PG, but still) was 42.3%.

44.4% is not terrible for a guard.

Looks like it's already been said, but in summary....

1) Who's getting him the ball? No one on your team can pass worth a squat.

2) Seems like you have his distro set so that he is the third, maybe even fourth, option on your team. Not many players are going to light it up in that role.

Kemba Walker took lots of shots, this guy is taking 7 a game. Knight was a freshman, this guy is a senior.

How is this even a discussion? With his current number of shots per game (~8-9), the guy would have to shoot well over 50% to even get to double digits in scoring. You want the guy to score more, give him the ball more.
