couple of questions for you bills:
1. I assume camspoppy is another ID of yours and you've been coaching Randolph-Macon for the previous 5 years also, right?
2. When you recruit, are you using pulldowns or dropdowns? I just wonder with better guards from a better prestige and through pulldowns/dropdowns could you sustain a winning program as you brought in better and better kids. You seem to be stuck around the C range and am just wondering if it's from chasing just D3 kids or what.
3. Would you mind sharing how you determined your starting 5? I look at your guys and find it interesting who you're starting and at which positions they're starting. -- For instance, I'd probably have Torkelson either at SG or SF,
-- I'd consider starting Radke at C (solid ATH, best REB rating, solid DEF for your guys, bad PE doesn't really matter down low + I'd turn his distro down a bit)
-- Wei at SG if Torkelson is at SF. Wei is your stopper, I'd probably move him around as necessary to get more defensive pressure + elite ATH on the other team's best guys. Yes, I know it's a press you're running, but if he's playing SG he'll factor in heavily if the other team has a good guard or a pair of guards. If his other team is heavy on the inside game, then move him down low
-- Fowler or Swilley at PG?
The points above were just off the top of my head, I'm sure each and every coach would have a different starting 5 with that team.
It would be fun trying to build up a team like this, but also very frustrating I'm sure. You have to break the rut of the C prestige though so you can start getting some real impact players and kids who can play defense.
