Peja was huge in the Lakers series.  That is why you have the deep team.  You can match up with whomever.

Only if Spolestra would've given Bibby the same treatment earlier the Heat may have been up 3-0 before Carlisle put his bid in for best coach in the NBA. Bibby was the most unnecessary mid season signing ever. Heat will need more than 6 or 7 players that actually belong on NBA rosters if they are going to win a title. It's amazing they got to where they did when their 4th and 5th best players were probably no better than 60% in the finals and the only other 2 guys who would be in the rotation for almost every other playoff team Chalmers and Anthony really aren't that good. Anthony makes you play 4 on 5 on O but is a really good defender but only an average rebounder while Chalmers is solid on both sides of the ball but loses his poise way too easily.

I like chalmers, reminds me of Rondo as far as a little guy battling in the lane.very tough. How good would he be with 30 extra pounds. Will get better playing with dwade, solid skills, needs to develop good decision skills.

Love love Dirks we are the champions singing. Glad when someone is so happy. Need to put it on the mp3 just for the chuckle.

Chalmers outweighs Rondo by 20 pounds.  I don't think Chalmers would be any better at 6'2" 230.  In fact, I think he'd be fat.  Although I also think he is quite a bit better than mason is giving him credit for.

yes....Chalmers is not even close to the same type of player as Rondo.  They couldnt be any more different.  I see Chalmers as a Derek Fisher when he develops a little more NBA savvy

You heard it here first!  They were running thru the NBA until Dirk and then Butler went down in January.  Dont forget Roddy Beaubois was hurt as well.  If those 2 players come back healthy, the deepest team in the league just got deeper.  Now they know what it takes, which is a huge factor for the confidence in tight games (as if they needed it, they were the comeback kids this season).

5     Chandler     Haywood
4     Dirk               Marion
3     Butler           Stevenson/Brewer
2     Roddy          Jet
1     Kidd              JJ Baretta

And if they dont, Cuban will snag Dwight Howard OR Deron Williams/Chris Paul and the Mavs will be dirty.  Dirk is one cold white boy.  He is a true humble star.  He doesnt have an agent, doesnt do endorsements, etc.  He plays ball for his teammates.  There are so many reasons to love the Mavs and we welcome all of those who hopped on the bandwagon.  Dont jump off yet, the ride isnt over.
Dallas is getting older every year. They wont do it again. Miami, with this young *** talented team has 1 season under there belt. They now have experience and youth to win championships for the next 5 years. Enjoy it while it last this year Dallas. Ya'll will be retiring soon in the next season or two.

As stated before, Dallas' big advantage was depth as they could change their rotations around based on match-ups.

I'd assume they'll lose Barea (Someone will give him a nice contract offer), Butler, Peja, and Stevenson. Not like they're losing world beaters but each had their big moments in helping the team win.

Chandler will have a blank check that he'll get to sign from Dallas.

I also think they'll lose a bit of that fire that guided them to the Championship.

If Miami will require any kind of guts or heart from LeBron they will never win. If D Wade can carry James' sorry *** to a title they've got a shot.  I'm not a hater, I have no feelings about Cleveland or whatever. I didn't watch the decision. The man is a head case. Of course no one knows what's going in there, but it sure seems like he just gets to a place where the pressure builds and his inner voice starts going "ok LeBron, don't blow it" and that becomes like an albatross for him - if he misses badly or turns it over or something while this is going on in his head I think some voice tells him - "See I knew you'd **** it up" and so he retreats inside a shell and kinda stands off to the side or something and waits for the game to come to him. That's not how superstars dominate games. If he gets his head straight Miami will win a ton of titles, but not if LeBron is more brick than star...

If its possible under the new cap I think Cuban will do what it takes to hang onto Barea. They won without butler, so no big loss. Peja sucks. Stevenson can be replaced. However - Dirk and J Kidd and JET are getting old. They can't win forever... I doubt Dirk or J Kidd will lose any fire.

Dallas has a replacement for Baretta (his nickname because he is tiny but can still kill you) in Roddy Beaubois.  They have a replacement for Stevenson in Corey Brewer.  The Mavericks are the team that everyone wants to play for because the facilities they offer players.  They will be contenders as long as Dirk and Cuban are there.

If Lebron doesnt work on his post up (not necessarily low post) game EVERY day this off season he is a fool.  He is simply not quick enough to get to the hole like Wade.  He is deadly in transition because he is so fast and powerful.  If his post up game was worth a crap they would dominate the league because he is such a good passer

Old enough to have grown up with bird, magic,Michael. All 3 had horrendous playoff series at beginning of their careers. Yes lebron has been here for 7 seasons but he is only 3 years older than Jordan was when Michael couldn't win in the playoffs, coming out of Carolina. I'm a celtics fan but have no doubt that lebron will use the rory mcalroy approach. On the biggest stage(masters) and it all goes bad, next one is dominant(us open). Lebron is too driven, too talented to not end up with a few rings. I agree that he needs that low post finishing move all the great had when needed.

MARK CUBAN as dodgers owner if the old stogies in ownership would realize that he is a great owner. They don't want Cuban who will invest, build a winner, cares but they accept David glass who cares nothing for building a winner.
