Well, you take a hit to loyalty, which can hurt if you want to move on to another school.  Rescind too many and people other than the one you rescinded might leave as well. .

But if you plan on staying where you are for a bit, you can do it without too much trouble.

The hit is to reputation, not loyalty.

Right.  Oops.  My bad.

I was overloaded at SG so I rescended 2 scholarships. Will I receive money to re-recruit those two spots and get a SF and PG for the future because that was the purpose. It shows those two guy gone, but my recruiting money has not changed. Will I get money to recruit two new players...

not this season. If you don't fill the spots and take walkons you'll get the money next season, otherwise you must fill the spots using the money you had going in.

Thanks Dac, I appreciate the help...

Also (someone correct me if I'm wrong), the is no reputation hit for rescinding SIM recruits, which I do with reckless abandon.

You get a free pass for ONE season rescinding any players that you did not recruit.
6/25/2011 10:53 PM
I'm not even 100% sure you get a free pass or if the decreases are just incremental and 1 doesn't typically lower your decimal enough to show a drop in your letter grade. You will suffer reputation damage from cutting simai recruits, perhaps not noticeable or appreciable at 1 or 2...

I saw once at Georgetown in Knight where the first-year coach cut a player (obviously not his signing) and one of the cut player's friends on the team quit in protest.

that is also always a possibility, although I've never had it happen, I've heard of it.

I rescinded 6 scholies (all sim recruits) my first year in D1 at E. Washington. Reputation is now an A. May have been an A+ previously ... I didn't really notice. But either way, didn't seem to be much negativity considering the number of scholies rescinded.

Just took over a sim team, D2, Knight.  Cut 3 sim signed players.  Reputation is still A+.
