sim shows up considering at 11 pm opening day? Topic

anyone seen this before?
I was looking at a couple juco players, and I made sure to only search for players who were undecided. Found 2, sent phone calls between 8 pm and 11pm. At 11 pm one of the kids is showing considering another school - which turns out to be a sim??

That sounds like a glitch to me. I think you need to send a ticket on that one.

Had that happen to me in Phelan a bit back. Is the SIM school the kid is considering coached by a human last season? Only thing I can think of is a human coach put effort into the kid, but he went juco, and the coach left after that season.

RECRUITING - TIME SENSITIVE
**************************
Between 8 pm and 11 pm I searched for some juco centers, specifically selecting only undecided recruits for my search. I called 2 of them, one being Paul Warfield from Middletown, NY. After the 11pm cycle ran, I got the message that he was recruitable, but he also now showed (as of 11 pm) as considering a SIMAI school. He was not considering at 8pm. Is this something new for SIMAI or is it some kind of error?

Darryl,

All efforts from Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras were performed during the previous season's recruiting session. We don't track when a team appears on the considering list.

Doesn't that last season info kick in immediately or does this mean that there is some kind of delay? I am 100% sure that no one was showing considering on him at 8 pm. I have never seen a sim show up at that time before, in fact, the sims all show up at 6 pm in my experience.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say when you tell me you don't track when a team appears on the considering list. Could you please explain?

Normally, the team would appear on the considering list before recruiting began. It's possible there was some delay in this case.

We don't save any record of date/time that a team actually appears on the considering list. That means we can't tell exactly when a certain team did show up on the list.

what would cause that delay? like I said, I've never seen that before, and this is another situation where someone could spend money expecting things will work a certain way only to be surprised by something that isn't typical...

An error during processing could cause a delay, but there's no indication of that anywhere in our data.

it seems an error must have occurred then, as I can assure that he was not considering until 11 pm. I've moved on to other players, so there is no action I am seeking, but you should be aware of an error if that is the case. You can see that my effort came between 8 and 11. I would not have bothered calling someone already considering, and I specifically sorted my search results to only include players who were listed as undecided.

We'll continue to investigate and add more tracking information to allow us to better answer these types of questions.

sim school has been sim for a number of seasons. CS beats around issue. Another example of something new to eff up recruiting.

Could be a kid who was ineligble last season but didn't report.  He was considering one team but then went JUCO.

yup - and he should show considering at the start of recruiting, not 2 cycles later...

Did anyone besides me notice the name of the kid was Paul Warfield??

the only thing i can think of is that maybe the sim team had spent money on the player the previous season, and 25% of it was just barely under what it takes to get considered in cycle 1. we know that threshold goes down eventually, i didn't think it went down in the first couple cycles, but i don't know that it doesn't, either.

i think this is the answer, and I saw it happen in another instance in this Knight recruiting period.
