What's the minimum GPA for a guy to come back for a 5th seaosn after sitting out his freshman season? Did a brief search but couldn't find it.

I believe this only applies in DI and that the player needs to have a 2.7 cumulative GPA before that season

At DII I am pretty sure it does not matter

For DII it is 2.0; I don't think anybody ever ends up lower than that

well yeah you have to have a 2.0 to play for any player

Right; the small difference would be that a non-qualifier would not return for the 5th year.  E.g. if a (normal) returning senior has a 1.9 he gets to come back and try to raise the average to qualify.  The non-qualifier doesn't come back for that season to try to qualify; you get the roster spot and the scholly money.
