Or with an 0-27 season?

The 0-27 season resulted in an increase in Job Status as well.

I dont want to call anyone out so I wont say the world or school, but an elite program should be held to a different standard with regards to job status and security. There are only so many elite programs available and the waiting list for these jobs can stretch for decades (in terms of HD seasons)...It is simply one of the biggest flaws in the game that a coach can keep an elite job with only 2 NT wins over the course of 12 seasons. Fine this isnt "real life", but lets be real, in reality a coach at an elite woulda been canned after 2-4 seasons if that were the case...12 is absurd.

That's nothing, mmt! I know of a case where a coach at an A+ baseline school went 21 (yes, twenty-one) consecutive seasons without a single NT win, and yet, was never fired.

Nothing to see here.  Move along.  Conference success directly impacting prestige makes perfect sense. 

@Zhawks, you put it out there not me (although I wasnt talking about your school); @ Proff, thats insane, the school Im also talking about is A+ prestige...but your situation might be worse...how many NT appearances?

I agree with you though it is way too lax.

I, too, wasn't talking about z - heck, I thought zhawks had left HD months ago!

The team in question had 4 NT appearances during the 21-season run without an NT victory, but they didn't make their first NT appearance until Season 15 of the coach's tenure. Prior to that, they had 5 PI appearances, which included 3rd round and Final Four runs. Those PI appearances are obviously what kept the coach from being fired.

Personally I think Elite Jobs need to have different hiring / firing logic than the rest of the Power 6 world. PI runs need to be worth about 20% of what it seems they currently can do for an elite school coach. 

Also at an A+ baseline this didn't result in a firing.
