How much do you believe you have to put into a local recruit (or how many CV's), to have a recruit be:

A) a very high priority
B) *very* tight
C) *very* solid

Prestige matters more than number of visits (which matters much more than amount of money spent, which is basically irrelevant) especially at D1 level.

If an A+ school offers just a phone call, HV and scholarship to someone, the recruit will be giving the "keeping options wide open" WotS, just like if Alcorn St did the same.

My question is does anyone have it down to a science (or close) on how much effort has to be put in to change the WotS to the categories of A, B, and C?

Your A, B and C categories are all equivalent to one another. That's the highest level, above the "leaning" category. For an A+ school, it takes an amount of effort equivalent to approximately 5-8 campus visits.

I think your estimate is too low.

As others have said, the amount of effort it takes to get tight with a recruit does vary based on your prestige. (And as someone else pointed out, your A, B and C represent exactly the same thing.)
