Ok so I just went after a monster player who would have really been amazing for me - I spent over 35,000 on him, another team was in the running but I was always leading according to schollie messages.  Then out of the blue he signs with the other guy?

I thought I would always get a scholarship message first - I had more $ to spend on him but was waiting until he said I wasn't leading anymore??

Help I'm confused????

without knowing details - other guy likely dumped a bunch of effort all at once and knocked you out.

On the flip side, I signed a guy in Crum where the last message I got from him 2 cycles before he signed indicated that I was behind.  I put in no additional effort since that message.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Fairly certain I got screwed on this one - I spent 3/4 of my recruiting budget on him also!  Shouldn't I have received a message telling me I was now behind now?

as dacj said, without knowing details its hard to say...but it's entirely possible the other coach spend so much money in the cycle before signings that he was able to knock you completely off of the players considering list
