What is the multiplier of IQ on stats? And is there a thread outlining this info already? Haven't found one if so...

Anybody?

I don't think it is built in as a 'multiplier' plus it matters based on set how important it is. For FCP it is much more important than other D's, etc. I would focus on it being more of a bonus then being detrimental.

IQ is a mystery of HD that has never been quantified. A is better than F. There are good posts about how long it takes to improve IQ but that is all. Oh, and the general consensus is fast break teams or press teams are impacted the most by IQ. Most people put 15-25 minutes each for O and D IQ.

And obviously iq is going to impact certain categories more than others. For instance, you should notice the impact of iq more on turnovers than you would on, say, rebounding.

More than a little, less than a lot.

Although, good players can overcome low IQ.  My 4 star PG recruit at Princeton started game 1 with a D- in our offense and had 8 assists.

How many turnovers to go with those dimes? I would consider the season's Assist to Turnover ratio as a much better picture then total number of assists. That said its still a very small sample size of only one season... which is one reason why I don't think IQ has ever been quantified.

I always have 25 minutes in my D.

I do 20.

And as for my PG...

In two pre season games against team I was better than he was 6assists with 0 turnovers and 8 assists with 2 turnovers.  This was at F and D-.

In my first game (still D-) against a team with similar talent to me, 3 assists with 0 turnovers.

Small sample size but it is what it is.

My guess is that IQ is a multiplier for the ratings, such as F = 50%, D = 65%, C = 75%...A= 95%, with the multiplier being multiplied to your players rating times fatigue.

I disagree.

it matters a bunch, especially as between rosters where the talent is in the range of close

I'm not saying it doesn't matter mets, I don't believe its linear and I am certain it isn't 65% drop in all skill ratings, etc.

agree with you z - I was responding to the OP - I dont think those numbers are right - but I have not ever tried to put it in numbers, because even if I knew the exact numbers I am not sure what I would do differently

This is exactly what I use in my formulas to rate my players.
