High PER at PG or SG? Topic

I have two pretty different guards and I can't figure out where to put them.  Harold Smith played PG the first 6 games and has played SG the last 12.  Davidson took over at PG and has been dishing out nearly 5 assists per game.  Based on their ratings, should I put Smith and his high PER at SG or should he play point with the high BH-P?

I'd play Smith at the point.  He won't get the same assists as Davidson will at PG just because I assume Davidson's distro is much lower, but I'd guess the sum assists you get from them will be similar in either configuration and I know you know that assists are just window dressing in this game anyway.  40 point better BH in the PG spot should cut down a bit in backcourt turnovers (and frontcourt turnovers).

But I'm also losing some scoring from the SG spot and Davidson is no shooter playing SG, would that outweigh the cutting down on turnovers?

Why do you lose scoring?  It doesn't really matter if you get more scoring from your PG or your SG.

Davidson's ath and Ft are good enough to score anyway. Put him on -2 and let him go to the line 10 times a game.

How the hell did you get 2 guards that good in the same class anyway?  New Mexico?  Seriously?  Nobody closer wanted to fight you for that guy?  Nobody in ODAC/USA South territory should be able to simultaneously recruit two players of that caliber.

I love looking at DIII guards that would play for my DI team....pretty much makes me feels like an idiot.....

There are no D3 schools in New Mexico and the same goes for a bunch of other states like SD, ND, HI, AK, etc. If you are an ASC team 600 miles out, would you be willing to fight for him when you know ODAC has 6k more cash per team?

I knew about the NM player and despite having 5 scholarships, I decided to pass on him. And if memory serves me, tkimble fought off a D2 team.

I did have to fight off a D2 team, took a lot of cash but Smith was worth it.

Exactly. The guy with the far superior bh should be at pg.

They play zone, so that doesn't matter. And even if they were a m2m team, you could play matchups, but plenty of teams have as much or more scoring at pg as they do at sg.
