I'm getting in a bit of trouble by promising 10 minutes to a player. Figured he'd get the minutes no problem being third on my depth chart but that turns out to not be the case. In 10 games, he's only played in 7 of them.
So not too surprising to get the following complaint today:
"I just got off the phone with my parents and they suggested that I just talk to you. I have a problem. Why am I only playing 7 minutes per game? You promised me that I'd be playing at least 10 minutes every game. I'm not happy that you haven't been true to your word."
In the first 10 games, he's only played 51 minutes. The "7 minutes per game" comes from the fact that he was DNP'd for three of them. Any idea what I need to do to fill the promise? Do I need to get him up to 10 minutes per game played or do I need to get him to 10 per game (regardless if he sees the court or not).
I'm guessing the Sim is going to end up giving him a DNP a couple more times this season so I'm trying to figure out just how much extra playing time I'm going to need to give him.
It only seems fair that I should have to give him 10 minutes per game, not per game played. But the note above seems to perhaps suggest otherwise.
Apologies for starting this thread. I know it has been answered before but when I did a search of past posts I couldn't find this particular question so I gave up searching and figured I'd just ask again.
