What is a general criteria for movement in D-1?
To move to a Big 10, Big 12, etc job how long and how much D-1 success does one need?
I was a newbie in D-1 at Robert Morris this season and we ended up 28-3 winning our league and a game in the big dance
Your input would be appreciated

Really really hard to say.  That's plenty good enough of a season to get a B/B- prestige power conference team, but won't get you a UNC/UCLA school I think.

I'm pretty sure after his first season in DI, reinsel.  El Tres, you're doing great in terms of results, but you'll need to sustain that for longer.  After six years at your last job but only eight total at the four before that, you're going to need to graduate at least one class of your own recruits before you start thinking about a power-conference school.  Maybe more for a top program.

But I may be wrong here.

Ugh, yeah you are right.  You might be able to get a beat down Nebraska/Seton Hall/Fresno type team.  But to get the better teams you'll need to stay for 4 seasons and make the NT more times.  But you have 9 returning players and should do well again next season.

Thanks guys, the input is much appreciated!
Good luck in your seasons

Took (although it is not considered a dream job to anyone else) my dream job at Kansas State. Will be a huge challenge to rebuild the program in a monster league, but I love K-State and would not have it any other way.

Congrats -- always very cool to get your dream job.

(Even if it is K-State.)

Best 4 year community college in the nation imo

You qualified for a big 6 after 1 season? I can't even qualify for mid majors yet

All depends on your resume. I'm qualified for a bunch of Big 6 in Rupp w/o even being in D1; looks like my 4 seasons in D2 was enough.

Frankly I'm floored that you could make that move with no NT success and only one season at D1 but they've been doing boggling hires at the BCS level for some time. My guess for you it came down to total seasons played. I just wish there was a bit more of a consistent formula.

But, as girt said, congrats on your dream job'

I can totally believe that.  I've been eligible to move from DII to UNC and Kentucky at different times in my career in Naismith.

Wow - good job there at Bryant, Anadeau. In the last 4 years you have won two National Championships, and made the final 4 the other 2 times - very impressive.
