Has anything changed in terms of promised starts? I'm 23 games into the season and the players I have promised starts have started all 23. Is it safe for me to have them play off the bench for the next 2 games?

You will have no problems if you sit them the remaining 2 games.

It would be the remaining 3 games and I tested the waters on this area this season myself to find out just where the cut-off was (by mistake I forgot to reinsert a promised start guy back into the lineup. I was at 18 of 22, everything was fine, and on the 23rd game I got the "you've ruined my life e-mail from the player", he was at 79% and change at 18 of 23 games). You have to start the guy 80% of the time or better, however many games you are at. It took me 4 more games until I got back 19 of the 20 WE points he lost. He is at 22 of 27 games and 81% and change of games played.

This experimental number ... does it include post season games too (or do we think it does)?

The number is indeed 80%.  Also, promises just need to be kept through the non-conf and conf. regular season.  Post season tournaments do not count.

I, for one, wouldn't trust anything unless you got it from CS in a ticket.  I don't think anybody here knows for certain.

Your Phelan team is going to be the first full season that had the loophole closed about promised starts that was fixed in the 10-24 update.  The way I read the release notes, the fix probably isn't addressing the 80% number that has been rule of thumb.  But I also wouldn't want to be the guinea pig that discovers the loophole fix also includes that as well.

I would, however, like it if someone else were said Guinna pig, especially if they came back and updated us...

well I didn't push it. Benched 1 guy for 2 games and now the 3 FR will start for our final game of conf play.

Any update on this that anyone has found? Is it still true that you don't have to start a guy in the conference/national tourney? is the magic number still 80%? I have a few key games that I'm probably not going to start a recruit I promised, but I should be fine using him most of the season.
