My Alcorn State team in Phelan just concluded conf play with 38 rpi, 163 SOS, with no wins against rpi 1-50, 3 wins against rpi 51-100. I messed up my lineup in the final game against the simai and my best player ended up not playing at all, leading to a 1 point loss. Team is sitting at 23-3 (as opposed to 24-2 and 30ish rpi, had I not made the lineup mistake).

If I don't win the CT, will I be bubbled out despite the rpi being in the 40-45 range?

I think it would be very unlikely for a team with 24 or 25 wins to not make the NT as long as your RPI is better than 50.

Yeah, there would have to be a TON of upsets for you to not make it 25-4 or 24-4 with an RPI of 50 better.

There was a formula for expected tourney seeding I seem to remember. . but can't seem to find with the search engine.  Anyone remember it, or have a link to the thread it was in?

Seed = (Rank + RPI + 5) / 8

I think this is what you are looking for.

So, what would one do on it for an unranked team?  If they were in the "Also receiving votes' I would presume you just extrapolate and count down. . .

yes, good point, what if you arn't ranked?

I think someone said if you are not ranked, use 30. But honestly, does it really matter? It should be clear if you are a 1/2 seed or a bottom seed. The only question that matters is if you are rpi 55+ and whether you will get bubbled out, which this formula doesn't really work.
