This is going to let everyone know the exact caps of their players maybe a season or two in advance.  And just in general take some of the strategy out of setting a practice plan.
yeah, im not sure how i feel about that. knowing the exact caps. you have to watch though. but that is pretty big.
That is why I compared it to the sorting window change for recruiting.  Prior to that, vet coaches had a big edge in recruiting, vets could manually manipulate the screens quicker and knew what they needed to look for.  But, most these changes should be user friendly to the average coaches, hence I think the practice plan color coding is a great idea, although it is stunning to see so much 'Red'.

I wonder whether the projection page takes into account the new algorithm for tourny seeding and selection - you would assume it does, eh?
looks like it just restates the Top 25 and all teams listed 30th or above are considered Locks, anything down to 80th is a Bubble, and beyond that is Out.

how does the player potential being on the practice plan give you the exact caps of your players??? We got all the same info before other than now it is much more easily accessible. Am I missing something here?
when they go from green to black add 21 or whatever.  Or black to red add 9.  I don't know the numbers off of the top of my head.

I love the addition, but it points out a frustration I have with the potential. I recruited a DIII PF with a 12 Def rating only because he had high potential in that area. He has gained two points during his freshman redshirt year, and it now shows as average potential. That tells me he'll probably cap out in the low 20s. Is it really high potential if he only gains 10 points during his career?

No, it means that he barely had enough for high potential before, and now is at the highest end of average potential.  His cap is still 33 or so.

Perhaps it will start moving more as the season gets a little deeper? In Rupp we still have about 8-10 conference games.  Maybe as we close out the conference season, things will start moving...

I was hoping the projection page would have been a more bracketology type thing with projected seedings and matchups. This is seriously the exact same as before except now you can just stare at it everyday.

I am in Naismith and it is easy to look at that since we are in conference tourny time.  It does look like it takes into account new program since the #68 RPI Tennessee for example is ranked around 34 in the new projection.  And my Manhatten team is 63 in RPI, but sown around 83 in the postseason projections.  So, even though 1-25 are the same as the top #25 rankings it looks like this is the new selection show right in front of us and that the rankings are just really now tied to that same projection.

Love almost all of these.  The one HATE? - The recruiting max piece.  If you have six in a class and want to go after a recruit with the intention of cutting one of your current players this would now be prohibited correct, unless you cut your player first?  Personally I would want to gain security I can land the guy and then cut my own player.  Anyone dumb enough to recruit a guy not realizing he is maxed out for that class deserves to be bit in the end.  Let us make some decisions for ourselves.

He's probably going to max out at 33 or 34. The high end of average potential is a 20-point gain. Once he switched from green to white, it means he has 20 points of improvement left.

did we not get / forget the color coding for Free Throws?  Liked what I saw, the color coding thing will help everyone, sort of reminds me of the change in sorts for recruiting, big time saver, nice job!
agree - no color for any of my players FT rating - so unless they all are average potential, we didnt cover FT

I noticed the NT history under 'stats'.  Has that always been there? Or is it new as well?

the color coding is great and all, but haven't we already gone over the problem with WIS using red and green?!?!? would it have been so difficult to use red and blue or some other color that's distinguishable for those of us that are color blind???

the potentials in practice are especially helpful for when you take over a new team and you want to figure out who to cut.

A difference in color between red (low potential) and something else (blue?) for "you've already gotten a coaches email to stop practicing" would be a REALLY helpful tweak.  Love the update otherwise.
