Came across this player in recruiting and didn't want to let him get away considering his potential in Spd, Def & Peri. My initial thoughts are to bring him along slowly as second-string SF, behind Chester Furtado. But after looking at the mediocre career that Furtado has had I'm thinking about just starting Boren and see what he can do as a frosh. I've never started a frosh and I know there will be some bumps [inconsistency, matchup problems] but I think he'll be solid this season and pretty good down the road.
*Now that the potential is color-coded on the Practice Plan and the Player Profile I was double-checking each attribute and found some major differences between then and now....as Boren shapes up like this:
ATH-Low
SPD-Avg
REB-High
DEF-Avg
SB-Avg
LP-Low
Peri-High
BH-Avg
Passing-Avg
Stamina-Avg
DUR-Avg
Somewhere between his freshman and sophomore season he want from "High" to "Average" in 3 key areas-SPD, DEF & BH. I'm probably nit-picking, but those differences change drastically as to what type of player I projected him to be. Instead of a potential matchup headache [in my eyes] because of those three "highs" he's basically been reduced to an average, struggling player.
Has anyone else seen this since the updates of last week?
And as always, any constructive thoughts/comments are welcomed.
